Cancellation Scheduling, Attendance & Refund Policy
-

Withdrawals within 30 days of the course start date are non-refundable unless the seat can be filled.
Once classroom instruction has begun, refunds are not available.
-
Driver Education classroom instruction is required by Vermont DMV regulations and full participation is expected.
Students are permitted up to two (2) classroom make-up sessions during the course.
Make up sessions will be scheduled at the end of the course based on instructor availability.
Additional missed classroom sessions beyond the two allowed make-ups may be completed for a $100 make-up session fee.
Excessive absences may delay successful course completion.
-
Behind-the-wheel driving sessions are scheduled during the course based on instructor availability and student progress.
Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled driving sessions.
-
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a driving session.
Driving sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will require payment of a $100 rescheduling fee to cover instructor time.
This fee may be waived in cases of unsafe driving conditions or weather-related cancellations.
Rescheduling driving sessions are subject to instructor availability and may delay course completion.
-
Upon successful completion of classroom and behind-the-wheel requirements, students receive a Vermont DMV-approved Driver Education Certificate.
Students must also return the AAA How to Drive study Guide, which is loaned for use during the course, in clean and well-maintained condition at the conclusion of the program.
Replacement costs may apply for lost or significantly damaged materials.
Completion of the course does not guarantee passing the Vermont DMV road test.
-
Driver Education requirements are intended to be completed within the scheduled course period.
All classroom, observation, and behind-the-wheel requirements must be competed within two (2) months of the course end date.
Students who have not completed all program requirements within this timeframe may be required to re-enroll or complete additional instruction at the current hourly rate.
Unfinished course requirements beyond this period may result in the course enrollment being considered void, and no refunds will be issued.
